This policy explains which personal data Departo collects through departo.com, why, and what your rights are. Departo is the controller for this data. Questions or requests: sales@departo.com.
What we collect and why
Whitepaper download
When you request the whitepaper, we store your name, work email and company, the country you visited from (derived from your IP address; we do not store the IP address itself), the page you were on, your browser type and the time of the request. We use this to give you the whitepaper and to follow up about Departo. Our sales team receives an email notification with these details.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in following up with business contacts who show interest in our services. You can object at any time, and we then stop contacting you and delete your details.
Call requests and email
The call request form does not send data to us directly. It opens your own email app with a prepared message, and we only receive what you send. That message contains the details you entered: name, work email, company, number of SIMs, topic, preferred time and whether you use Zscaler. We use it to plan the call and to prepare a proposal.
Legal basis: taking steps at your request before a possible contract, and our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries.
Company identification (Leadinfo)
We use Leadinfo to see which companies visit our website. Leadinfo looks up the company behind the IP address of your visit and shows us the company name and the pages viewed. We do not use it to identify individual people. Leadinfo may use cookies to recognise repeat visits.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding which businesses are interested in our services.
Click statistics
We count clicks on our main buttons (such as "Book a call", the email links and the whitepaper) to see which parts of the site work. For each click we record the button, the page and the visitor's country. We do not record IP addresses or use cookies for this.
Hosting and security
The site runs on Cloudflare. To deliver pages and protect the site against abuse, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address and browser details.
Fonts
The site loads its fonts from Google Fonts. Your browser connects to Google's servers for this, which shares your IP address with Google.
Stored in your browser
After you request the whitepaper, your browser remembers your name, email and company so the form is filled in next time. This stays on your device; you can remove it by clearing your browser's site data.

Where data is processed outside the European Economic Area, this happens under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. We do not sell your data.
How long we keep it
- Whitepaper requests and call requests: up to two years after our last contact, unless you become a customer, or until you ask us to delete them.
- Click statistics and technical logs: a few days, as stored by Cloudflare.
Your rights
You can ask us to see, correct or delete your data, to restrict its use, or to receive it in a portable format. You can also object to our use of your data at any time. Email sales@departo.com and we respond within one month.
If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) or the authority in your own country.
Changes
We update this policy when our website or services change. The date at the top shows the latest version.
